Work Package 2 focuses on the crucial Pilot Digital Demonstration and Impact Assessment of the AIMPRESS solutions. This WP puts the technologies developed in WP1 to the test in a virtual environment, primarily at the Port of Ancona, evaluating their real-world potential and paving the way for greener, smarter ports in the Adriatic-Ionian region.

✨ Key Activities in WP2:

💻 Digital Pilot Implementation & Preparation: Orchestrating the meticulous planning, preparation, and strategic deployment of the holistic digital solution (virtual models based on WP1 tech) in the Port of Ancona, serving as a blueprint for follower cases like the Port of Split and AD Marina Bar.

🌍 Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA): Meticulously examining the environmental footprint – including carbon footprint, air quality, noise reduction, and GHG emissions – of the implemented digital solutions in pilot ports.

📈 Technology Efficiency Evaluation: Assessing the performance of the enhanced systems, focusing on energy utilization, operational efficacy (like port congestion), and cost viability achieved through the AIMPRESS digital solutions.

🔗 Scalability & Replicability Analysis: Evaluating the framework for adapting and applying the AIMPRESS virtual solutions effectively in diverse port settings across the Adriatic-Ionian region, starting with follower ports and exploring innovative financing.

🗺️ Large-Scale Replication Strategy: Developing a comprehensive roadmap and assessing the feasibility for widespread adoption of the validated digital solutions across various port typologies throughout the entire ADRION region, based on pilot performance.
