📢 AIMPRESS Project Kick-off Meeting: A New Era for Sustainable Ports!

We are excited to share a glimpse of the kick-off meeting of the AIMPRESS project, funded under the Interreg ADRION Programme and co-funded by the European Union, which took place on 16/10/2024 at the Technical University of Crete, coordinated by indigo – TUC. During the meeting, we discussed the project structure, introduced the partners, and explored the upcoming work, focusing on sustainable and energy-efficient port operations.

But what is the AIMPRESS project, and how is it contributing to the future of Adriatic ports? 🤔

💡 The AIMPRESS project is driving the triple transition in Adriatic ports—green, digital, and social. By integrating sustainable energy technologies, AI-driven systems, and digital innovations, AIMPRESS aims to enhance port efficiency while supporting green growth, circular economy, and climate adaptation.

➡️ Innovations like cold ironing, solar energy storage, and advanced energy management systems are being piloted at key ports in Ancona (Italy), Split (Croatia), and Bar (Montenegro). AIMPRESS is also creating a Green Smart Ports Roadmap to help ports adopt these new technologies and make the shift toward sustainability.
